General Description
The Compliance-Pro™ HSV PC Linear/2D barcode reader was designed to meet the challenges of managing the increasing complexity of the encoded data in 2D and linear symbologies. With the advent of 2D barcodes and the added data they can hold, it has become increasing difficult to know exactly what is encoded in the barcode. Barcodes used in product shipment, pharmaceutical medication, and food-stuffs have begun to encode not only a 'tracking or serial number' but also other control characters and application specific information. By using all of this added data, systems become more automated and reduce human interaction, but this magnifies the danger of encoding the incorrect information.

The United States Dept. of Defense now requires a PDF417 to be printed on all shipments. This barcode encodes data about the products in the carton, cost of the products, order information, contact information, shipping information, and more. If this information is incorrectly encoded the cost could be catastrophic. This system allows the user to view, save and print exactly what is encoded in the barcode including all of the control characters.
